Jade Giants

The Jade Giants are large statues made of jade usually found near Otataral deposits. Their purpose is unknown.

Near the end of the Book of the Fallen, it is noted many times that a large number of such giants approach Wu from space. They are visible from the surface of the planet, and lend the sky a surreal greenish tinge. 

     Later on it is revealed that the Jade Giants encase the tortured souls of the Crippled God's native worshippers.

First Appearance

'Something rose from the dunes...angled like a toppled tree or marble column...it was blunted, crooked...Fifty men, hands linked, could not encircle the base. The bend occurred seven or eight man-lengths up, at about three-fifths of the total length. The stone looked both creased and polished, dark grey under the colorless light of the moon...revealed the stone to be green...'Jade...That's not a coloumn...It's a finger'
