Novels of the Malazan Empire

Novels of the Malazan Empire is the series of novella and novels set in the Malazan world, written by Ian Cameron Esselmont. Each novel is sub-titled as "A Novel of the Malazan Empire" (even in the case of Night of Knives, a novella).

The series largely deals with events and places mentioned in the Tales of the Malazan Book of the Fallen series but unexplored in-depth. The series is less cohesive than the Malazan Book of the Fallen, though there are a handful of plotlines that continue from book to book; the novels also pick up many plot threads left dangling by Erikson's own series.
