Who is Ameron?

Ameron is by far the most obscure member of Kellanved's original Family. So little is known about him, it's not even clear if he still lives.

From HoC, we know that (minor spoiler): 

- he joined the Family at the same time as Nok & Hawl, travelling to Malaz City on the same boat.

From BH (storyline spoilers):

- while the Bonehunters are travelling on Admiral Nok's fleet, Hellian observes a naval sigil with four insignia (ref needed). One clearly belongs to Admiral Nok. Two others probably belong to the Crust brothers. No other Malazan naval commanders are known, but Ameron could neatly account for the fourth insignia. It has to be emphasised that this is merely speculation, but speculation is all we have as far as Ameron is concerned.
