Who is patch, pallor, kallor, and why is he so evil?

Kallor, previously known as patch and sometimes as pallor, is a friend of Steven Erikson, and is an advance reader with access to the books sometime before the rest of us. He takes it as a sacred calling to taunt the rest of us with this knowledge, with little tit-bits.
