Capemoth

A moth that feasts on decaying matter.

"...desert capemoths, wheeling and fluttering like flakes of ash as broad across as a splayed hand...They were carrion-eaters...silent, spectral insects...The world's harbingers of death are many and varied"

DG, UK MMPB, p.243

Capemoth Reproduction

"'...they found the spring...the surface appeared to be grey mud...The grey was faintly phosphorescent and consisted of drowned capemoths, their wings spread out and overlapping to cover the entire surface...'It's fouled...full of capemoth larvae, feeding off the bodies of their parents...The larvae piss poison, fill the water with it. Eliminates any competition. It'll be a month before the water's drinkable.'"

DG, UK MMPB, p.284
